Rafting trips from Las Catalinas in the Guanacaste province
Beautiful Las Catalinas is a newly built community located on one of the most beautiful beaches in that area of Guanacaste, Playa Dantas. Las Catalinas currently offers two hotels and several vacation rentals and villas available for clients visiting from all over the world. Our Whitewater rafting trips depart every day with a minimum of two people, and they include round trip transportation from Las Catalinas. The travel time from Las Catalinas ton the river put-in section takes around 2 hours.
Tenorio River Class 3 to 4 rafting
If you are interested in some adrenaline – filled and adventurous whitewater rapid sections, the Tenorio River rafting section will not disappoint you. This potent river, which is born in the mountains of Tilaran, is known to offer the best river sections for whitewater rafting in the province of Guanacaste.
The two-hour long descent will give you the chance to enjoy the fun waves, cascades and other river sections, all this wihile you are surrounded by traditional Guanacaste countryside, tropical dry forests and natural scenery.
Corobici River River Floating
The slow moving Corobici, an important river throughout the entire history of Costa Rica, is one of the most scenic and natural rivers in the Guanacaste province.
The Corobici does not offer strong rapids, mostly class 1 or 2 waves, and the majority of the river is slow moving waters that provide the perfect framework for wildlife observation, while you gently descend down paddling your inflatable raft along with the guide.

How long is the tour ?
The tours on the river last for around 2 hours to 3 hours, depending on the water levels. Additionally, you have to add the transportation from the hotel and back.
The tour lasts for around 6 hours in total, including the actually 1.5 hours of the river descent. Thew transportation, via land, takes around 1.5 hours each way.
